Information & Expectations for Presentations

The 2026 SPCP Convention will be held on September 19-21, 2026 in Phoenix, AZ. All presenters must attend in-person.

This year, we will be offering 4 course-style and workshop sessions instead of only traditional 1-hour presentations.

Each of these 4 courses should include a clear objective and defined learning outcomes, which will be featured on the SPCP Convention website.

Each course should incorporate hands-on practice on skins as well as a live or recorded demonstration.

Presenter Agreement & Terms and Conditions

Presentation Requirements

The 2026 SPCP Convention will feature:

  • Featured Course (2–2.5 hours) – limited number of keynote-style sessions

  • Mini Course (45 minutes) – shorter educational sessions

Each featured & mini course must include:

  • A clear educational objective

  • Defined learning outcomes

  • Content relevant to the permanent cosmetics and paramedical tattoo industry

Featured Courses should include:

  • A hands-on component using practice skins

  • A live or recorded demonstration

    *Mini Courses are not required to include a hands-on component.

Submission Requirements

Presenters must submit the following information as part of the application:

  • Course Title

  • Course objectives and learning outcomes

  • Course teaser or description

  • Presentation details and workshop description (if applicable)

    All presentation content must be original or used with proper permission.

Presentation Materials

All presenters must submit the following materials to the SPCP office no later than four (4) weeks prior to the convention:

  • PowerPoint presentations

  • Handouts or printed materials

  • Videos used within the presentation

    PowerPoint presentations will be loaded onto the event laptop.

    All handouts will be printed and bound together in advance. Late submissions may not be included in the printed materials.

    Once submitted, print materials cannot be changed.

Equipment Requests

Presenters must submit any required equipment or technical needs to the SPCP office no later than four (4) weeks prior to the convention.

The SPCP reserves the right to deny equipment requests based on cost, logistics, or availability.

Presentation Content & Permissions

Presenters must obtain written informed consent for any images, slides, or photographs showing identifiable clients, patients, or individuals.

If an image does not allow identification of the individual, written consent may not be required.

All presentation materials must either:

  • Be owned by the presenter, or

  • Have written permission for their use.

The SPCP assumes no liability for materials used without proper permission.

Changes to Presentation

Once a presentation has been approved and materials submitted, no significant changes may be made to the presentation without written approval from the SPCP office.

This ensures printed and digital convention materials remain accurate.

Recording & Educational Use

Presentations may be recorded and photographed during the convention.

Recorded presentations may be made available in full or in part on the SPCP Learning Portal for continuing education purposes available to SPCP members.

Presenters will not receive compensation for the recording, advertising, sale, or distribution of this material.

Attendees may use electronic devices for note-taking. While SPCP does not allow unauthorized recording, attendees may have devices capable of audio recording, and SPCP cannot guarantee complete prevention of such activity.

Demonstration Procedures

If a presenter intends to demonstrate a live procedure, separate guidelines and requirements will apply. These guidelines must be followed to ensure safety and compliance with venue regulations.

Presenter Responsibilities

Presenters are responsible for:

  • Booking their own travel

  • Paying for all travel expenses

  • Booking and paying for hotel accommodations (unless provided under keynote compensation option 2)

  • Any personal expenses related to attending the convention

The SPCP will not reimburse travel, accommodation, or related expenses unless specifically stated in the compensation agreement.

Presenter Compensation

Featured Course / Keynote Presenters

Presenters selected to deliver a Featured Course (2–2.5 hours) will receive:

  • Complimentary access to all three days of the SPCP Convention and cocktail/networking event for the presenter only

  • One (1) year complimentary SPCP Professional Membership and directory listing (not applicable to Lifetime Members)

  • Presenters may choose one of the following compensation options:

    Option A - One complimentary Premium Vendor Booth plus 1 additional Convention & Cocktail party pass

    Option B - Three (3) nights hotel accommodation (1 room) covered by SPCP. Accommodation will be booked by SPCP

    NOTE: Additional convention passes may be purchased at a discounted presenter rate.

Mini Course Presenters

Presenters selected to deliver a Mini Course (45 minutes) will receive:

  • Complimentary access to three days of the convention and for the presenter only

  • 20% discount on a Vendor Booth

    Note: Additional convention passes may be purchased at a discounted presenter rate.

    Due to limited seating, additional complimentary passes cannot be provided.

Presenter Conduct

All presenters are expected to uphold the SPCP Code of Ethics and maintain professional conduct throughout the convention.

The SPCP reserves the right to remove a presenter from the program if conduct is deemed inappropriate or detrimental to the event.
