Certification Opportunities (CPCP & CPTP)
The SPCP offers nationally recognized board certifications that meet many U.S. state licensing requirements, Including New Jersey, Maine & New Hampshire. Members receive discounted rates on both certification applications and renewals, making it more affordable to maintain professional credentials.
+ Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP): prestige‑boosting certification, fulfilling many state licensing needs (including NJ, Maine & New Hampshire). Requires training, Bloodborne Pathogens certification, and passing an online exam.

+ Associate membership is only available for a 3 year term. After 3 years you will be required to change your membership to a Professional Membership.

Certification with the SPCP
Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional
The SPCP offers a widely acknowledged and recognized primary board certification exam in permanent makeup (PMU). Applicants must qualify and pass the industry specific proctored exam. The Certified Permanent Cosmetic Professional (CPCP) designation satisfies most USA State licensing, including New Jersey regulations.
Certified Paramedical Tattoo Professional
Certified Paramedical tattoo Professional (CPTP) is a board-certified examination for paramedical tattooing certification. Applicants must qualify and pass the industry specific proctored exam. The Certified Paramedical Tatoo Professional (CPTP) designation satisfies most USA State licensing, including New Jersey regulations.
